Casa Bella Villa is not just a villa in Los Cabos. It’s own little universe tucked away from it all on a rise over the Sea of Cortez. And with six-bedrooms, six-and-a-half baths and some 6,500-square feet of space there is plenty of room at Casa Bella Villa for all guests, whether a simple duo or a dozen best friends on vacation, to have a frenzied party together and also go slow.
Décor throughout this Los Cabos villa is contemporary and tasteful with colorful touches of local culture. But the highlight of the villa’s ambient design can be found in what isn’t there – walls. Most of the rooms, including five of the six-bedrooms, come with retractable floor-to-ceiling windows for a sense of not only seeing the full panorama of the horizon and sea, but being in it. All is open and airy and that goes for outdoor showers in some of the en-suite bathrooms, the picture window openings above the tubs, and a focus on the grand pool patio that flows in and out of the common rooms. Two bedrooms here are simply made for children or very cool-minded guests. They involve oversize bunk beds, even a permanent teepee, and in one case, a fully equipped media room.
The kitchen at this villa in Los Cabos is also a grand affair with side by side stoves, a double refrigerator and a granite prep island that abuts the dining counter stocked with five bar chairs. There’s room enough for your dedicated chef to create specialties of the house and for the Chef in the family to show off as well. A state-of-the-art espresso nook takes care of the between times that need that extra boost.
Travel beyond the kitchen to a formal oak wood dining table set-up that seats ten beneath a wrought iron chandelier. Then head to the living room, a comfortable configuration of deep, plush sofas and chairs around a large TV, all complemented by dark oak cabinets and tables.
Much of the action at Casa Bella Villa takes place outside. And for that there is a welcoming pool fed by decorative fountains for lounging or even doing laps. Umbrella-shaded chaises dot the area, and all is given to the eerie spell cast by three firepits illuminating the patio in the evening hours with dreamy possibilities.
Meals can be taken in the loggia, an extension of the interiors but bearing no walls. Here, a bar, family room and a fireplace surround a large dining table where breezes and the sounds of the sea add sensory impact to the day’s repasts.
